Getting Started
- The FinMath App is currently available for Windows 10 and above at the Windows App Store. Purchase the app at the Windows App Store, download and install it (using the electronic key provided) as you would any Windows 10 App. The FinMath App contains a simplified notes version of the e-textbook Introduction to Finance: A Self-Help Workbook.
- You can purchase a paper copy of the complete text Introduction to Finance: A Self-Help Workbook from Amazon.com by clicking here.
- Your third option is to purchase the FinMath Pro App from this website that contains both the complete version of the e-textbook and the paperback book. The bundled version FinMath Pro app with the paperback is available right here on the website (see the Purchase page) at an attractive discount.
- All installations require you to enter the electronic key provided with the app.
- When you run the software, the first page allows you to choose between the (1) Practice Mode (to work with problems and applications), or the (2) Test Mode (to test your skills at problems and real-life examples), or the (3) Reference Mode (to read and browse through the text and the related help), or the (4) Practitioner Mode (to use the underlying algorithms as a sophisticated programmable calculator.
- In any Mode, you can choose the topics and sub-topics that you want to practice. Then, you can move backward and forward, just as would solving problems, studying examples, visiting chapters, or studying the applicable formulae.
- FinMath allows you to invoke the relevant formulae with all the variables and values required to solve a problem. You can change any of the variables and see the impact on the solution. In addition, you can chart the variables and their effects on the dependent value. The basic idea is to get completely familiar with the independent and dependent variables and their relation.
- You can save your session and re-run it at another time or print it to practice later.
